Hello everyone, it's been a couple of months since we posted. Why? - well we have been patiently waiting for the next steps in the process.
And - we have them - the council formally began the process of closing Chapter school. A few simple steps, issue a notice (content automatically prepared via a government website), get it posted at the library, the school(s) and in the local paper.
The notice says something like "Full details of the proposal can be obtained from the council" - you just ask for them.
Guess what - no go on guess - ok then, the council had to re-issue the notice because 1) the only put it in the paper and 2) they didn't have a complete proposal to give (I know - I asked for it).
Inspires confidence that the council really have a handle on what is happening, makes us feel that we can relax and let common sense and decent management take it's course. - NOT!
Everyone needs to remember how this has happened, these are well paid professionals who are doing this - and they are simply not able - half cocked doesn't really begin to describe it.
There have been a few other developments - which we will in due course send out updates for to all those who have registered their email addresses with us - if you haven't done so please visit http://www.sockcampaign.com and follow the links there.
By the way - here is a press release from UCA following our meeting back in April.
